Next step: Endorse! Comments are fleeting. Endorsements last. When former or current colleagues say something positive about your skills, leadership, or mentorship, it's not for a pat on the back. It's a career booster. Why do endorsements matter? ✔️ For Credibility: A good endorsement from a former manager, co-worker, or protege validates your achievements and skills. 💥 For Impact: Narratives illustrate how you've helped others succeed and highlight your value as a team member or leader. People remember stories. 🥇 For Distinction: In today's competitive employment market, real-life and genuine endorsements set you apart from other candidates. So, my challenge to you: 🧠 Reflect: Who was your best favorite manager? What did they do that made such a significant positive impression on you? ✍ Act: If you haven't, take a minute to give them a LinkedIn recommendation or endorsement. It's a small action that can make a huge difference. ❓ Request: If you supported team members or mentees through your leadership or mentorship, don't hesitate to ask for an endorsement. It's not bragging. It's building and sharing your professional story. Is your LinkedIn profile part of your job search strategy? If not, I’m here to help. Who’s Your Favorite Supervisor? Let them know! Make their day. Recently, a former team member—who was once an intern on my team—reached out to me to share something that made my day. They’re on the job market, and in one of their interviews, the recruiter asked, “Tell me about your favorite supervisor.” Instead of citing their former faculty supervisor, or other managers with whom they worked, they cited me as their example. 💖 This got me thinking: What makes a supervisor memorable? Is it their ability to inspire? Their willingness to mentor? Or simply the way they valued and supported you? I’d love to hear from you: 👉 Who was your favorite supervisor, and why? 👉 What did they do that made such a positive impact on you? Whether it’s a manager who championed your growth, a leader who trusted you with big opportunities, or someone who just made work feel like a team effort, let’s celebrate the people who’ve shaped our careers for the better. Make their day, or their weekend! Drop your stories in the comments. I can’t wait to read them! #Leadership #CareerGrowth #Mentorship #Teamwork #FavoriteSupervisor #CareerCoach
