Individual Advising
My career advising service provides individual learners with 30-60min one-on-one sessions to help them with their immediate needs. They can choose from an a la carte menu of career and professional development topics. These topics can include those you already cover, or can be unique topics that target specific training goals or learner populations.

Individual Coaching
My individual coaching service is a package of multiple one- or two-hour sessions per individual learner. The goal is for each learner to achieve a specific outcome by the end of their third session. Examples of outcomes include improving communication skills, creating a job search strategy, or defining skills, strengths, and values.
Who is this for?
- Higher education administrators who want to provide outcome-focused career or communication coaching to their learner population.
- A scientific professional society who wants to sponsor career or communication coaching as part of their membership benefits.
- A principal investigator who wants to provide career or communication coaching to their graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, or staff.
How does it work?
- If you're offering coaching to a large community of learners (e.g. all of your postdocs), then we can set up a request and approval system so that you can monitor utilization based on eligibility or on your budget.
View an example of such a system here. - If you're offering coaching to a small group (e.g. the learners in your lab), we can establish direct communication and schedule coordination for coaching.
- Learners will schedule sessions using my appointment app.
- Each session will be hosted on my Zoom account.
Group Coaching
My group coaching service aims to bring together 2-12 learners who wish to learn together and build community around a specific goal. Group coaching can range from one or two coaching sessions on a specific topic for two or three learners, to a structured program of six two-hour groups sessions over 6-12 weeks for up to 12 learners, plus two one-hour individual coaching sessions per participant at the beginning and end of the program.
Who is this for?
- Higher education administrators who want to build community around an outcome-focused group experience for learners in their population.
- A principal investigator who wishes to support their team's career or communication goals.
How does it work?
- If you're offering group coaching to your community of learners (e.g. all of your postdocs), then you will coordinate recruitment and enrollment. Please share your participant list at least two-weeks in advance of the first meeting date.
- If you're offering coaching to a small group (e.g. the learners in your lab), we can establish direct communication and schedule coordination for coaching session.
- Scheduling of group sessions will be completed during the planning stage, and advertised by you as part of the program. If included, individual participant coaching sessions can be scheduled using your or my scheduling app.
- Group or individual sessions can be hosted on your video conference platform, or my Zoom account.
Seminars & Workshops
Seminars are 60-120 minute stand-alone, lecture-style learning sessions for large audiences intended to inform participants on a specific training topic. Workshops are half-day, full-day, or multi-day interactive learning experiences for limited-size audiences intended for skill training or achieving a defined goal.
Who is this for?
- Higher education administrators needing an external speaker to help train their learners on a specific topic, or simply attract more participants by featuring an external speaker
- A scientific professional society that offers seminars or workshops as part of their membership benefits, or that desire a featured or keynote speaker at their conference
- A principal investigator who aims to speak to their lab on a specific topic, possibly paired with individual coaching
How does it work?

- You will manage advertisement and enrollment.
- If delivered remotely, we can use your or my videoconferencing app.
- You will share participant contact information at least two-weeks before the start date for workshops that include pre-work (surveys, skill assessments, etc.)

- implement best practices for writing manuscripts, creating posters, or planning presentations;
- create compelling images and figures that convey your ideas; and
- practice delivering platform presentations and answering questions.

Self-Assessment & Career Exploration
Before entering the job market for the first time, or before making a career or job change, it is useful to step back and reflect on yourself, explore the available options, and identify alignments between your reflections and those explorations. If your goal is to pursue your job search with confidence and clarity, this series will help you:
- articulate the values that give your work meaning;
- identify your skills, those you enjoy using, and those that may lead to burn-out;

Self-Assessment & Career Exploration
You cannot manage time to end up with more of it, but you can learn how to utilize time effectively. A time utilization strategy can help you alleviate stress and anxiety. More importantly, it can help you know when to say no, allowing you to focus on your priorities. In this workshop, you will:
- evaluate how you spend your time, both for personal and professional pursuits;
- discover when they're focused, and what distracts you;
- develop a system to triage information and how to process it; and
- create a system for organizing information and allocating time to act on it.

Add Learning Evaluations
Creation and Distribution
My business management software includes a robust survey tool. Add on the creation and distribution of learning evaluation surveys or participant feedback surveys as part of any coaching or speaking service. The raw data will be shared with you.
Analysis and Visualization
In addition to sharing the raw data, I will analyze and visualize the survey data and create an outcomes report for you to share with key stakeholders.

How do you handle travel and accommodations for in-person events?

How do you invoice?
I will work with you and your institutional procurement and accounting departments to complete the necessary requirements for me to submit invoices and receive payment. Invoices will state the delivery method to allow for any tax withholding for work performed in state, if applicable.
Can you create a custom program?
